Pembroke Hospital is hiring for Activity Therapists to join the team! We are currently offering full time or part time opportunities.
Pembroke Hospital is a 120-bed acute care, inpatient behavioral health facility located south of Boston, in Pembroke, MA. Situated on 26 acres, we offer inpatient and partial hospitalization treatment to teens, adults and older adults, and our services are designed to assess, stabilize, and treat patients by addressing their primary symptoms and problems. The Activity Therapist is an important member of the Pembroke Hospital's inpatient multidisciplinary treatment team. The Activity Therapist provides expressive arts therapy, psycho educational groups, and recreational activities on Pembroke Hospital's inpatient psychiatric units.

- Perform initial activity therapy assessment to develop appropriate treatment goals
- Facilitate groups on the inpatient psychiatric units
- Complete group documentation and communicate with other members of the treatment team via treatment planning and team meetings
- Provide education to Mental Health Associates through both formal and informal means to ensure effective and appropriate therapeutic group facilitation
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Master’s Degree in a related field and working toward or has already obtained a certification in the fields of expressive, music, art, recreation, occupational, or physical therapy.
- Bachelor's degree in recreational or expressive therapy and one of the following certifications:
Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist (CTRS), Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC), Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC), or other Certified Expressive Therapist modality.
