Are you someone who wants to make a genuine difference in the lives of young learners? Working in a SEN school (Special Education Needs) allows you to work in an environment where your support directly impacts the lives of additional-needs learners, both inside and outside of the classroom.

About the Role-
  • Working with learners who have Additional Learning Needs (ALN) such as autism, ADHD and other complex physical and behavioural needs.
  • Working in small groups and participating in 1:1 with learners aged 3-19 years old.
  • Working alongside teachers to provide a tailored approach to each learner to cater for their individual needs.
  • Working towards supporting an environment where ambitious, capable learners can flourish to create healthy, confident individuals who are valued members of the community.
About the School-

The school caters for a large range of young learners who require specialist approaches to their curriculum. The school spans primary-aged learners who require a nurturing, warm environment, right the way through to sixth form where students are preparing for the transition into their future pathways. The school is deeply committed to preparing learners to be enterprising, creative contributors who play a full part in the life they lead.

What

we need from you-
  • No previous experience working as a learning support assistant is required. (Although experience working with children with additional learning needs is preferable).
  • We are looking for individuals who have a positive attitude and a genuine passion in working with learners with ALN.
  • Being adaptable in high-pressure environments, whilst maintaining compassionate and calm is key.
  • Child and Adult Enhanced DBS on the Update service (we can help you with this!).
  • Education Workforce registration (EWC).
  • Full UK driving licence and access to personal transport is preferred, but not compulsory.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
