We are seeking a passionate and motivated Newly Qualified Teacher to join a welcoming SEN school in Penarth. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your teaching skills within a supportive environment, working alongside experienced professionals and gaining hands‑on experience supporting pupils with a range of Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
You will play a key role in helping learners achieve their full potential while developing the confidence, knowledge, and practical skills needed to thrive in your teaching career.
- As part of our dedicated team, you will:
- Deliver engaging lessons and targeted interventions for pupils from EYFS through to KS5.
- Support learners with complex needs, helping to develop their confidence, communication skills, emotional wellbeing, and independence.
- Use creative, multi‑sensory teaching approaches tailored to individual learning needs.
- Work collaboratively with specialist staff and multidisciplinary teams to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
- Monitor progress, assess learning, and provide regular feedback to parents, carers, and colleagues.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child can learn and succeed.
- A desire to gain your QTS.
- An understanding of SEN/ALN and how to adapt learning to meet individual needs.
- A positive, resilient, and enthusiastic attitude.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.
- A clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
