Maintenance Manager

I'm currently supporting a leading process manufacturing business with the appointment of an Engineering & Maintenance Manager to lead the site's maintenance, reliability and project delivery function.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineering leader to take ownership of a complex manufacturing operation, driving asset reliability, engineering standards, compliance and continuous improvement across the site.

Working closely with Operations, HSE and senior leadership teams, you'll be responsible for ensuring safe, reliable plant performance while supporting both CAPEX and OPEX project delivery.

The Role

As Engineering & Maintenance Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the site's maintenance, reliability and engineering project functions, ensuring assets are maintained safely, efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the site's maintenance, reliability and engineering project delivery functions.
• Drive preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance strategies to maximise plant availability and asset performance.
• Manage mechanical, electrical, controls and instrumentation assets, ensuring reliability, integrity and compliance.
• Deliver continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, operational efficiency and cost reduction.
• Oversee maintenance planning, scheduling, backlog management and CMMS utilisation.
• Manage mechanical integrity programmes, inspections, statutory compliance and condition monitoring activities.
• Support and deliver CAPEX and OPEX projects from concept through to commissioning and handover.
• Lead contractor management activities including selection, RAMS review, supervision and performance management.
• Support Management of Change (MOC), engineering modifications and process safety reviews.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation, site standards and permit-to-work systems.
• Participate in high-risk maintenance activities, contractor control and site duty management responsibilities.
• Lead, mentor and develop a multi-disciplined engineering team, promoting a strong safety-first culture.
• Build effective working relationships across Operations, Quality, HSE and wider business functions.
