Data Analyst

The closing date is 15 March 2026

An opportunity has arisen for two enthusiastic, highly organised and motivated individuals to join the All Wales Therapeutics and Toxicology Centre (AWTTC).

The AWTTC is a multi‑professional organisation that provides NHS Wales with a portfolio of prescribing and medicines optimisation services and offers dedicated administrative, technical and professional support to the All Wales Medicines Strategy Group (AWMSG). It plays an integral role in the monitoring and managed entry of medicines within NHS Wales.

The Voluntary Scheme for Branded Medicines Pricing, Access and Growth (VPAG) was agreed by the UK government, NHS England and the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) in December 2023. The aim of the programme is to develop and test innovative approaches to medicine assessment to improve processes related specifically to access and uptake of new medicines.

The Data Analyst will work with AWTTC to deliver a work programme aligned to the ambitions of VPAG. The post holder will collate and provide information that is integral to the use of medicines within Wales and will assist with the delivery of a number of work streams that sit under the VPAG Programme.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post;
English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

The Data Analyst role is based within a busy, high‑volume, dynamic team, ideal for an individual with strong analytical skills and a passion for using data to drive improvement. You will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver impactful insights, support the implementation of initiatives, and measure their impact.

This post is fixed‑term/secondment for 2 years, until 31 March 2029, due to funding, and to meet the needs of the service.

If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.
