Job Summary

Join Trident Law Corporation’s Corporate Practice team to advise domestic and international clients on a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial legal matters, contributing to impactful transactions and regulatory compliance in a dynamic legal environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage corporate transactions including funds, asset management, trust, private wealth, capital markets, venture capital, and mergers & acquisitions to deliver successful client outcomes
  • Conduct comprehensive legal due diligence and draft or review commercial agreements to mitigate risks and support transaction objectives
  • Advise clients on IPO processes, corporate restructuring, and insolvency matters to facilitate strategic business decisions
  • Provide expert guidance on corporate structuring, investment fund establishment, and registration to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency
  • Counsel clients on licensing, securities laws, financial regulations, and compliance matters to uphold legal standards and protect client interests
  • Engage with clients, opposing counsels, and regulatory bodies as the primary point of contact to foster strong professional relationships and effective communication
  • Independently manage client matters while collaborating with the legal team to enhance service delivery and business development opportunities
  • Develop and maintain client relationships to support business growth and identify new legal service opportunities
Preferred competencies and qualifications
  • NQ to 7 years’ post-qualification experience, including prior in-house counsel or regulatory experience considered an asset
  • Experience in corporate law, venture capital, financial regulations, or mergers & acquisitions demonstrating ability to handle complex legal matters
  • Proven analytical skills applied to legal problem-solving and transaction structuring
  • Negotiation skills demonstrated through successful client representation and agreement finalization
  • Effective communication skills for clear, persuasive interaction with clients and stakeholders
  • Proactive and adaptable approach to managing complex legal transactions under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
