Welder / Fabricator is required in Cardiff / Vale of Glamorgan for our client. Our client is a well-established manufacturing business with around 70 years of experience, specialising in the manufacture of doors.

They are looking for either an experienced Welder / Fabricator or a graduate/junior candidate with practical welding and fabrication experience to join their production team.

This is a hands‑on opportunity where the successful candidate will initially work on the tools within the factory, gaining a strong understanding of the company's products and manufacturing processes. There is genuine long‑term progression available for the right individual, with the potential to develop into a Production Management role and eventually progress into more senior management positions.

• Work hands‑on within the production and fabrication team
• Carry out MIG and TIG welding as required
• Fabricate and assemble components for manufactured door products
• Support the wider production operation and work as part of a team
• Learn the company's products, manufacturing processes and equipment
• Develop a broad understanding of the production operation
• Take on increasing responsibility as experience and knowledge develop
• Work towards potential progression into Production Management and senior positions

• Previous welding and/or fabrication experience is essential
• MIG and TIG welding experience is desirable
• Open to experienced Welder / Fabricators or graduates/junior candidates with practical welding/fabrication experience
• Practical, hands‑on approach with a genuine interest in manufacturing
• Reliable, hardworking and keen to develop a long‑term career
• Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibility
• Must live within approximately 10 miles of the company's Cardiff‑area facility

Salary: £16.00 - £20.00 per hour, depending on experience

• Experienced candidates: approximately £19.00 - £20.00 per hour
• Less experienced candidates: approximately £16.00 - £18.00 per hour

  07:30 - 16:00 Monday to Thursday, 07:30 - 15:30 Friday
• 37.8 hours per week
