Part Time Practice Nurse

Job Overview: We are excited to advertise for a new practice nurse at our practice in Penarth. The successful candidate will join a motivated and friendly team, providing care to approximately 9,500 patients in the Eastern Vale cluster. The role is for 28 hours a week (some variation in those hours is negotiable) covering Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Consideration will also be given to candidates without practice nurse experience.

We are a very enthusiastic and well‑managed practice within the Eastern Vale Cluster (EVC) of Cardiff & Vale University Health Board. We have a list size of circa 9,500. One of our partners is the Vale Constituency Lead for the Brecon LMC. We provide a full range of enhanced services to our patients including minor surgery, LARC/Coil contraception, nursing home enhanced care and shared care monitoring.

We currently have 3 partners and 3 salaried GPs who provide 36 sessions, a clinical pharmacist, 2 part‑time nurses equivalent to 1.2 WTE and 2 part‑time HCSWs.

• Perform treatment room duties
• Administer immunisations
• Conduct cervical screening
• Monitor INR
• Manage chronic disease patients
• Provide other practice nurse tasks as required

• Registered General Nurse and fully registered with the NMC
• Experience in practice nursing desirable but not essential; training will be provided to the right candidate.
