The Big Fresh Catering Company provides healthy nutritious school meals at lunchtime, which is compliant with the Food and Nutrient standards set by the Welsh Government's Healthy Eating in Schools (Nutritional Standards and Requirements) (Wales) Regulations 2013. In addition to this, we also provide a high quality Buffet/Function service to our schools, Café at the Penarth Pier Pavilion, weddings, external customers and companies.

Pay Details: Grade - 5, SCP 8 - 12 £ 27,709 - £29,542

Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 5/7 Days - 37 hrs per week

Main Place of Work: Cosmeston Lakes Country Park

You should be efficient, reliable and dynamic and have the ability to manage a cost effective catering service:
Exceptional cooking skills, excellent communication, organisational and management skills are essential for this post.

You Will Need:

• Ability to use own initiative
• Ability to engage with customers in a friendly, welcoming manner
• Previous experience in café environment management, handling stock and managing staff
• Financially aware
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Excellent eye for detail
• Ability to respond flexibly to changing service objectives
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, achieving results by commitment and teamwork
• Level 2 Food Hygiene
• Allergen Awareness/Natasha's Law
• Customer Service Awareness
