Our client is an established international luxury fashion house with boutiques in Singapore's premier retail destinations. We are recruiting on their behalf for a Store Manager to lead their MBS boutique. This is a permanent, full-time position reporting to the Retail Director.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES1. Sales & Business Performance
- Define, communicate, and monitor store sales targets, budgets, and forecasts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Drive ongoing growth of store turnover and optimise store contribution by managing personnel, operational, and overhead costs within budget.
- Identify store investment needs and escalate appropriate proposals to the Retail Director.
- Oversee all store administration, reporting, and compliance with internal procedures.
- Build and cultivate a loyal client base in line with the brand's sales strategy.
- Act as brand ambassador within the local market, managing external relations and competitive positioning.
- Conduct regular market studies covering competitors, customer profiles, and retail trends.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 4 to 5 retail staff.
- Drive recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and career development in partnership with HR.
- Motivate the team and align performance to brand strategy and commercial goals.
- Maintain grooming and presentation standards consistent with the brand.
- Ensure effective two-way communication flows within the store team.
- Manage day‑to‑day store operations including replenishment, visual merchandising, and store upkeep.
- Oversee regular and year‑end inventory processes.
- Maintain a well‑organised stockroom; ensure all stock transfers are accurately recorded to minimise stock loss.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and security regulations.
- Ensure optimal rostering to maximise floor coverage, particularly during peak periods.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a supervisory, assistant manager, or store manager role within retail; experience in luxury or premium fashion is preferred.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team in a fast‑paced, service‑driven retail environment.
- Commercially minded with a solid understanding of retail KPIs and store P&L.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong business‑level English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
