Job Title: Key Account Manager (KAM) – FMCG / Personal Care

We are seeking a high-caliber, results-driven Key Account Manager (KAM) with deep expertise in the Singapore FMCG and Personal Care sectors. In this role, you will lead the strategic expansion and commercial management of our brand (including oral care/personal care portfolios) across major Modern Trade channels, with a primary focus on Guardian, Watsons, Unity, and key supermarket chains
. Your main objective is to secure new product listings, optimize shelf visibility, maximize sales revenue, and build robust, long-term retailer relationships.
1. Account Strategy, Listing & Commercial Negotiation
Listing Execution: Lead the end-to-end listing process for new product launches in Guardian and Watsons
, from strategic pitching and product positioning to listing fee negotiations and final contract signing.Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for Category Managers and buying teams at target retail chains, establishing high-trust partnerships.
Commercial
Terms:
Own the annual Joint Business Planning (JBP) process, negotiating trading terms, margins, rebates, payment terms and return policies to maximize profitability.
2. Trade Marketing & Campaign Execution
Promo Calendar Management: Co‑develop and execute annual and quarterly promotional calendars with retail buyers, leveraging mechanics such as GWP (Gift with Purchase), exclusive launches, and prominent in‑store displays (DM, End‑caps).
In-Store Excellence: Ensure top‑tier shelf execution, planogram compliance, and optimal placement of Point‑of‑Sale Materials (POSM) across high‑performing outlets.
O2O
Collaboration:
Work closely with the internal marketing team to sync offline retail activations with online, scenario‑based social media campaigns (e.g., Tik Tok, Instagram) to drive foot traffic to stores.
3. Demand Forecasting & Supply Chain Liaison
Sales Forecasting: Analyze historical data and upcoming promotional impacts to provide accurate rolling sales forecasts (Sell‑in/Sell‑out), ensuring supply chain readiness.
Inventory Control: Monitor channel stock levels (Days of Supply) to minimize out‑of‑stock scenarios during peak promotional periods while preventing excess inventory write‑offs.
4. Data Analytics & Market Insights
Performance Tracking: Conduct regular deep‑dives into Sell‑in/Sell‑out data to evaluate the ROI of promotional activities and pivot strategies accordingly.
Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitor activities (pricing, promotions and displays) within the premium/niche personal care segment to maintain our brand’s competitive edge.
Experience:
Minimum 3 to 5 years of progressive Key Account Management experience within the Singapore FMCG, Personal Care, or Beauty sectors
.Network:
Must possess active, established relationships with Category Managers or Buyers at Guardian, Watsons, Unity, or NTUC Fair Price. (This is a mandatory requirement).Business Acumen: Strong understanding of retail P&L, category management principles, and sharp commercial negotiation skills.
Attributes: Entrepreneurial mindset with a high degree of self‑motivation; comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑growth brand environment.
Communication: Exceptional English verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Mandarin is highly advantageous to facilitate seamless coordination with regional manufacturing and supply chain partners.
