Quantity Surveyor / Estimator

Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 Location: Pencoed

Construo Recruitment is working in partnership with a growing construction company to recruit a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator.

Based in Pencoed, this role involves working on fast-paced refurbishment and shopfitting projects across the leisure and hospitality sectors. Projects are delivered across South and Mid Wales, the South West, and the Midlands.

This is a varied position combining both pre- and post-contract responsibilities, with an opportunity to contribute to project management and the wider day-to-day operations of the business. You will be joining a close-knit team where flexibility, reliability, and a proactive approach are key.

• Manage both pre-contract estimating and post-contract quantity surveying duties
• Prepare and submit accurate cost estimates and tender returns
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and financial performance
• Assess variations, valuations, and final accounts
• Support the delivery of fast-track refurbishment and fit-out projects
• Assist with project management activities where required
• Contribute to the smooth running of projects and business operations
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams

• Experience in both estimating and quantity surveying within construction
• Background in refurbishment, fit-out, or shopfitting projects is advantageous
• Strong commercial awareness and cost management skills
• Good communication and organisational abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
• Positive, proactive, and team-oriented attitude
• Full UK driving licence

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• Previous experience within leisure or hospitality sector projects
