Unqualified £26,386 – £31,139 per annum (pro rata, hourly paid);
Qualified £33,596 – £51,932 per annum (pro rata, hourly paid)
Hourly paid contract – days and hours are offered on a casual, ad hoc basis and may vary. The role supports students in Level 4 and Level 5 Diplomas in Therapeutic Counselling, providing high‑quality teaching, mentorship and academic guidance.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging teaching sessions.
- Assess learner progress and support individual development.
- Contribute to curriculum development and programme delivery.
- Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students.
- Maintain a professional and welcoming learning environment.
- Recognised qualification in therapeutic counselling (minimum Level 6).
- Registered or accredited membership of a professional body such as BACP, UKCP, or National Counselling Society.
- Current practice experience in therapeutic counselling.
- Experience working with young people and/or a PGCE certificate (or willingness to work towards one).
- Enhanced DBS disclosure for child and adult workforce and registration as an FE Teacher with the Education Workforce Council.
- Evidence of identity and eligibility to work in the UK.
- Good Welsh language skills encouraged, but not mandatory.
