Qualified £33,596 – £51,932 per annum (pro rata, hourly paid)

Job Description

Hourly paid contract – days and hours are offered on a casual, ad hoc basis and may vary. The role supports students in Level 4 and Level 5 Diplomas in Therapeutic Counselling, providing high‑quality teaching, mentorship and academic guidance.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging teaching sessions.
  • Assess learner progress and support individual development.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and programme delivery.
  • Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students.
  • Maintain a professional and welcoming learning environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Recognised qualification in therapeutic counselling (minimum Level 6).
  • Registered or accredited membership of a professional body such as BACP, UKCP, or National Counselling Society.
  • Current practice experience in therapeutic counselling.
  • Experience working with young people and/or a PGCE certificate (or willingness to work towards one).
  • Enhanced DBS disclosure for child and adult workforce and registration as an FE Teacher with the Education Workforce Council.
  • Evidence of identity and eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Good Welsh language skills encouraged, but not mandatory.
