As a Locum Hematology Oncologist, you will be responsible for evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, and delivering advanced therapeutic interventions including chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Working on-site at our Pendleton facility, you will partner with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care for every individual. This contract role is well-suited for an associate-level physician seeking immediate clinical impact and professional flexibility in a locum tenens capacity.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat patients with hematologic malignancies and solid tumor cancers
- Develop and implement individualized chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy treatment plans
- Conduct comprehensive patient consultations, physical examinations, and follow-up assessments
- Interpret laboratory results, imaging studies, and pathology reports to guide clinical decisions
- Administer and monitor chemotherapy infusions and manage treatment-related side effects
- Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, and palliative care specialists to coordinate patient care
- Document all patient encounters accurately and maintain timely electronic medical records
- Participate in tumor boards, case conferences, and multidisciplinary care planning sessions
