Nurse Outpatient Surgery

We are seeking a highly skilled, meticulous RN passionate about surgical excellence to join our dynamic OR team at CHI St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton, OR.

As a safe clinical practitioner, you will provide leadership and coordination, using independent but collaborative judgment to assure high-quality, cost-effective service.

• Surgical Environment Safety:
  Maintain a safe surgical environment, including sterile technique.
• Case Support:
  Assist anesthesia/surgeon, prepare OR equipment and lab specimens, ensure instruments and supplies are ready.
• Circulate/Scrub:
  Provide circulation and/or scrubbing of a case.
• Conscious Sedation:
  Provide conscious sedation to endoscopy patients.
• Patient Assessment & Planning:
  Continuously assess and re-prioritize patient health status; initiate and maintain an individualized plan of care.
• Emergency Response:
  Prioritize and perform interventions for trauma patients; respond to emergencies using critical thinking.
• Triage:
  Prioritize and perform necessary patient interventions for triage.

  Education:
  
  Participate in teaching.

• Expert Clinical Practice:
  High-quality, cost-effective patient care.
• Required
  
  Education and Experience:
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • At least one (1) year of acute care or clinic RN experience.
• Required Licensure and
  
  Certifications:
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon.
  • AHA BLS certification.
  • AHA ACLS certification within six (6) months of hire.
• Preferred:
  Surgical RN experience.
