FTE Status: 1.0 FTE Non-Exempt, 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri

Pay Grade: B8 ($24.95 - $35.96 per hour, depending on experience)

Job Description

Provides culturally competent behavioral health treatment to people served by CCS in accordance with Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs) and CCS mission and values. Works closely with community partners and professionals in service delivery. Assists administration in meeting behavioral health needs of the community.

Responsibilities
  • Provide case management services to children, adults, and families.
  • Participate in joint case planning and coordination with agency staff and contractors; act as liaison between clients and other agencies; advocate for clients when appropriate.
  • Participate in group and individual supervision sessions.
  • Collaborate with staff and community representatives to initiate, review, evaluate and revise programs as needed.
  • Coordinate with schools, group homes, police, DA offices, jails, courts, clinics, hospitals, and other agencies in behavioral health planning.
  • Provide behavioral health and addiction education, prevention, and information to various groups.
  • Complete paperwork professionally and timely in compliance with OARs and guidelines; maintain client records.
  • Attend trainings and meetings; apply learned information to benefit the agency and clients.
  • Assist other clinicians in facilitating groups as requested.
  • Utilize agency software to maintain current client treatment records and reports.
  • Transport clients as required.
  • Administer urinalysis (UA) forms, provide information to clients, observe when appropriate, and document relevant information.
  • Report all abuse to appropriate legal offices; complete investigations and safety plans as required.
  • Provide outreach to clients and families in locations such as jails and community corrections offices.
  • Consult with and educate community agencies that interact with individuals with mental or emotional disturbances.
  • Partner with jails and community corrections to provide services for clients.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education and/or

    Experience:

    A bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or another human services field is required, or a high school diploma with three years of equivalent training and work experience, or equivalent combination.
  • Certifications:

    QMHA certification required.

    Skills:

    Ability to understand symptoms and challenges of mental illness and addiction; knowledge of relevant OARs; strong written and verbal communication; ability to work independently and complete tasks timely; ability to coordinate services across agencies; ability to develop cooperative relationships with clients and families; understanding of the recovery model; ability to advocate for customers and agency; teamwork skills; computer literacy and ability to use word processing and software systems;

    ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Criminal Background Checks:
    Must pass criminal history checks as required by ORS and OAR; monthly checks against OIG/GSA lists; eligibility to enter correctional institutions.
  • Personal Auto Insurance:
    Must have a valid driver's license and personal auto insurance; provide proof of $300,000+ bodily injury coverage and $100,000+ property damage; CCS insurance is secondary; CCS may deny use of CCS-owned vehicles.
  • Physical Demands:
    Ability to use office equipment; regular sitting, typing and communication; occasional lifting up to 30 pounds; varied vision requirements; may require handling services in crisis situations and on-call rotation.
  • Work Environment:
    Office and community-based work; possible long-distance travel and overnight stays; some environments may have limited handicap access; work with clients in their homes and community settings, including correctional facilities and court houses.
