Job Summary

Responsible for assisting the manager in the day-to-day operations of the Bowling and Arcade areas, including supervision of staff, operational programs, policies, fiscal management, tournaments, leagues, etc.

Essential Job Functions
  • Ensures customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient, and friendly guest service.
  • Work in conjunction with the Bowling Manager.
  • Helps to develop, implement and administer the bowling/arcade policies and procedures.
  • Supervision of bowling/arcade staff including hiring, scheduling, leave approval, performance counseling, evaluation, training, operational orientation, and staff development.
  • Under the direction of the bowling manager, leads by example by developing a teamwork environment that supports the goals of the resort.
  • Promotes effective communication with leads, co-workers, and subordinates through regular staff meetings, co-worker/management/supervisor team meetings, and other forms of communication.
  • Facilitates training and conducts periodic re-training or cross-training as needed.
  • Reviews and monitors daily cleaning logs to ensure all items are complete. Conducts routine quality assurance reviews to ensure that all cleaning and sanitizing are done to standards.
  • Complies with regulatory laws, WRC Employee Handbook, Fiscal Management policies, department policies and procedures, safety codes, etc.
  • Organize league functions and events as needed.
  • Will help guide staff in problem-solving situations and resolve conflict with guests or staff quickly and efficiently.
  • Provides input regarding procedures and policies for specific operations as needed or directed by management.
  • Keeps Bowling Manager apprised of employee issues, operational concerns, and business needs.
  • At the direction of the Manager, will provide proper training and work on the development of staff and correct performance actions as necessary.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of WRC operations, programs, promotions, events, and services.
  • Participates and attends designated meetings, training, activities, etc., as directed.
  • Ensures that the operation of equipment, tools, and materials is handled safely.
  • Promotes a clean, safe, and healthy work environment for employees and guests, and promptly reports all concerns to the supervisor.
  • Will help oversee the maintenance of the arcade machines and bowling equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Promotes internal guest service standards through courteous and respectful behavior.
  • Represents Family Entertainment Center and WRC operations and interests, in a professional, proactive manner at all times.
  • Promotes internal guest service standards through data received from sales, Info Search Customer Comment Cards, etc.
  • Responds to guest concerns, received from Manager, in a timely and respectful manner via email, letter, phone, and Info Search.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Three (3) years of supervisory or lead experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED or ten years of experience.
  • POS experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, guest service, leadership, communication, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Computer skills in Word and Excel preferred.
  • Stand and/or walk for long periods; works in a noisy environment; perform repetitive motions with arms, elbows, wrists, hands, and fingers; bend, lift, and maneuver 50 lbs.; and have good visual and auditory acuity to respond.
  • Excellent personal appearance and grooming.
  • Requires a criminal history background check.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with bowling leagues & tournaments.
  • Familiar with the Brunswick operating system.
  • Experience with pinsetter mechanical operations.
  • Experience operating an Arcade/Redemption Center.
