Cheese Production Supervisor; Boardman

Job Overview

This position is located on-site at the Boardman, Oregon facility. The Cheese Production Supervisor is responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of the cheese department at the Tillamook plant to ensure efficient, safe and high‑quality production.

• Supervise cheese production from receipt of milk to finished cheese while maximizing yields and maintaining cost efficiency.
• Ensure all standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed and maintain 6S and WCM initiatives.
• Assign, track and review work orders and production data to balance priorities and prepare efficiency summaries.
• Communicate production goals, performance expectations and coaching to the crew.
• Work with operators to troubleshoot and resolve equipment problems, implement corrective action plans and oversee specific actions.
• Utilize labor, packaging supplies and equipment to control costs and manage day‑to‑day performance of operators.
• Monitor compliance with USDA, OSDA, FDA, and other regulatory product safety requirements and maintain effective relationships with Quality Assurance, Maintenance Engineering and other departments.
• Interview, hire, train, evaluate and develop employees; address performance issues promptly and confidentially.

• High school diploma or GED required; a Bachelor’s degree is a plus or a combination of experience and education.
• 3‑5 years of progressively responsible experience managing a manufacturing operation with supervisor experience.
• Weekend and off‑shift work required; duties may include repetitive motion of hands and lifting up to 45 pounds.
