Experience Requirements
- Minimum Experience: 2 years

- Practice Expectations:
- Nurses must be fully independent in all areas of care
- Minimum of 2 RNs on the unit at all times (sometimes
3) - Strong clinical skills required; RNs serve as mutual backup for one another
Licensure Requirement
- Oregon RN License required
- Oregon 90-Day Emergency License eligible
Unit Overview
- Unit: L&D / Postpartum / Mother-Baby
- L&D Beds: 5
- OR Suites: 1 (within unit; staffed by main OR – RNs do not scrub/circulate)
- Triage Beds: 1
- Postpartum Beds: 3 (in addition to 5 LDRP rooms)
- Delivery Volume: ~340 annual deliveries (30–35/month)
- Risk Level: Low-risk obstetrics
- Ratios: Follow AWHONN guidelines
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 12-hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Scheduling: Block scheduling available; trades allowed
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: 1 major and 1 minor holiday (if applicable)
- Floating: Expected to float as “helping hands” to other units as needed
