Position: Full-Time Registered Nurse at Waypoint
Support mental health care as a full-time Registered Nurse at Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care. Engage in specialized geriatric psychiatry within a collaborative inter-professional team.

Waypoint Centre is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the Horizons program.

Your role will involve providing comprehensive mental health nursing care and physical assessments to complex patients. Key responsibilities include developing therapeutic relationships and treatment plans, observing and reporting on patient conditions, and ensuring a safe environment according to established standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead nursing services within inter-professional teams

• Assess patient needs through interviews and observations

• Develop and implement treatment and discharge plans

• Observe and evaluate patient progress and risk

• Adhere to standards and policies for safe environments

Requirements:

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse in Ontario

• Valid CPR and First Aid certification

• Experience with geriatric mental health populations

• Knowledge of medication practices and treatment modalities

• Strong communication and leadership skills
