Position: Temporary Full-Time Registered Nurse Opportunity
Join Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care as a Temporary Full-Time Registered Nurse. Provide specialized psychiatric nursing and care to complex patients in a supportive environment.

Waypoint Centre is looking for a Registered Nurse to work temporarily for up to one year. This role focuses on psychiatric nursing, physical assessment, and developing care plans within forensic clinical programs. You will engage in therapeutic relationships and implement treatments while ensuring safety and quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership in nursing services to manage complex cases

• Assess and develop therapeutic treatment plans for patients

• Build therapeutic nurse-patient relationships for community reintegration

• Monitor patient conditions and participate in quality improvement

• Ensure adherence to nursing standards and facility policies

Requirements:

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Certification in Basic Life Support with Oxygen Therapy

• Experience in Forensic Mental Health preferred

• Familiarity with high secure facilities is an asset

• Proven leadership and organizational skills
