Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care invites you to apply for a Registered Nurse role. This temporary position offers comprehensive psychiatric care and assessments in a forensic environment.

The position at Waypoint Centre is for a full-time Registered Nurse focusing on psychiatric nursing within forensic clinical programs. You'll be involved in developing therapeutic treatment plans and observing patient conditions while ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere for recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership in complex nursing situations and patient care

• Assess and implement personalized treatment and discharge plans

• Establish therapeutic relationships to assist community reintegration

• Record patient observations and adjust care plans as needed

• Follow nursing standards and facility policies to maintain safety

Requirements:

• Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Certification in Basic Life Support required

• Experience in forensic mental health is preferred

• Previous experience in secure facilities is advantageous

• Strong leadership and communication skills
