Location: Easter Howgate

Grade UE06: £34,610 - £39,906 per annum pro rata

USG / Student Support Operations / Registry Services

Part-time: 28 hours per week

Fixed-term: 9 months

Opportunity

In this fixed‑term role in our busy Fees and Student Support Team, you will be key in ensuring the accuracy of tuition fee data for prospective and on‑programme students by providing high quality support. You will ensure monthly reconciliations are completed on tuition fee income from UK Government bodies and resolve any discrepancies promptly, making required adjustments to tuition fee records or liaising with funding bodies to ensure accurate assessment of student funding.

The post-holder will ensure the creation and reporting of accurate records for sponsors and tuition fee debt coordinating with the Finance Department and other colleagues, as needed.

You will have:
  • Good numeracy skills and basic knowledge of financial accounting principles.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and experience of working as part of a team in a customer‑focussed environment.
  • Strong understanding of end‑to‑end reconciliation process.
  • Analytical skills, including Microsoft Excel skills to create and analyse multiple data sources.
  • Ability to work with large datasets accurately and efficiently.
  • Experience of University of Edinburgh systems, including EUCLID/SITS/People and Money, is desirable.
