Overview

Blue Arrow is recruiting Support Officers for a client’s Edinburgh-based office. This is a short‑term (up to 6 months) contract role that supports the assessment and payment of student financial support in Scotland. If you have previous customer service experience, this could be an excellent fit.

Main Duties of the Role
  • Assess funding applications: evaluate eligibility and entitlement to financial support in accordance with regulations and instructions, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Customer service: respond to queries from students, representatives, and college/university staff via telephone, e‑mail, or webchat, providing clear, accurate, and timely information.
  • Adaptability: respond to changing priorities, take on additional ad‐hoc duties, and assist with special projects or cover during peak times.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Helpline and webchat service: handle customer queries through the helpline/webchat platform with excellent communication skills.
  • Rota coverage: cover on a rota basis from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday, ensuring high level of service during the working week.

  • Experience in a customer service role is essential.
