Position: Pupil Support Worker — Autism (Flexible Hours)
Location: Easter Howgate

Pupil Support Worker
Murrayburn Primary Enhanced Support Base (ESB)

Salary: £27,257 - £29,850 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional)

Hours:

27.5 per week, 39 weeks sessional

Murrayburn Primary is in the west of the city in the Sighthill area. Murrayburn Primary ESB has 3 classes. The classes have 8 pupils maximum, a teacher & 2 PSW. We also have EYP & Nursery Nurse support across the class structure. Most of our pupils have an Autism Spectrum Diagnosis and Additional Support Needs which may include personal care. We will be interviewing for this permanent post on Friday 19th and Monday 22nd June for a start date of 10th August 2026.

Experience working with children with ASN, a valid First Aid qualification would be advantageous. This role requires a PVG for Children.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.

You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
