An opportunity has arisen within the Council’s Street Lighting RCC Team for the post of Engineer, based at Bankhead Depot.

The post is a key position within the Roads and Infrastructure function of Operational Services, supporting the effective delivery of the Council’s street lighting service. The post ensures the Council meets its statutory Duty (as Roads Authority) for ensuring that all street lighting works undertaken by developers and/or their contractors are completed to the specification determined and agreed by the Council.

• Manage all works and activities on the public road network undertaken by developers and/or their contractors.
• Support the effective delivery of the Council’s street lighting service.
• Ensure all street lighting works undertaken by developers/contractors comply with the specification determined and agreed by the Council (statutory Duty as Roads Authority).

• Extensive experience with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on budget and to challenging deadlines.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior colleagues, elected members, developers, external contractors, public utilities, and the general public.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
