Do you have an interest in working with clients in the rural sector? Are you a qualified solicitor with experience in property law (rural, residential or commercial)? Did you know that Rural Property Solicitors also undertake a significant amount of commercial work on behalf of their clients? The sector encompasses not only traditional land uses and activities but wide-ranging commercial interests requiring commercially minded and innovative advisers!

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Solicitor or Associate to join a leading legal team specialising in rural property and business. This role offers the chance to work on high-profile transactions and advisory work within a dynamic and evolving sector that is central to Scotland’s economy.

About the Role:

You will be part of a market-leading team advising on a wide range of rural property matters, including:

• Purchase and sale of estates, farms, forestry, and other rural land
• Rural development projects (residential, renewables, telecoms, quarrying)
• Natural Capital markets (carbon codes, biodiversity)
• Agricultural holdings (contentious and non-contentious)
• Sporting interests and voluntary registration projects
• Commercial agreements and land-use contracts

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified solicitor with experience in real estate or rural property
• Genuine interest in rural sector work
• Strong technical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage transactions independently and meet deadlines
