The Demand Planner role includes constructing accurate demand plans that enable planning of stock through Ferrero’s global network and monitoring availability of a managed portfolio of goods. The main responsibilities include ensuring accurate sales forecasts, robust supply chain, minimizing costs, improving freshness, avoiding out-of-stock, and reducing obsoletes. The role also balances demand with available supply, highlights short- and mid-term supply risks, and implements recovery plans.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for a portfolio of brands
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align forecasts with market trends and promotional activities
- Analyze demand variances, identify trends, and drive improvements in forecast accuracy
- Monitor supply outlook and inventory levels to support supply planning and avoid stockouts
- Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cycles, providing data‑driven insights
- Communicate supply risks and implement recovery plans to mitigate disruptions
- Ensure data integrity across planning systems (SAP, JDA Demand, BW)
- Maintain audit trails and documentation for planning processes
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to manage supply issues and ensure transparency
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in forecasting and inventory management
- University degree in Supply Chain or related field
- Experience in demand and supply planning, forecasting, and inventory management in FMCG
- Strong understanding of customer service, order management, and physical distribution systems
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities across diverse teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency in planning tools and systems such as SAP, JDA Demand, BW, and Microsoft Office
