Hardware and Firmware Designer – Professional

Location:

Buttrio (UD)

• Basic and Detail Design (drawings and/or technical specifications) of hardware schematics of electronic cards exploited by the sensors/gauges produced by the Instrumentation and Robotics Business Unit (BU)
• Basic and Detail Design (code and/or technical specifications) of firmware deployed into electronic cards used within the sensors/gauges produced by the BU
• Basic and Detail Design (code and/or technical specifications) of software deployed in both hardware and software PLCs
• Development and testing of laboratory prototypes to verify theoretical hypotheses regards techniques to be used in current/future gauges produced by the BU
• Research (by reading technical articles, books, datasheets, web pages, and publications) new technologies and/or techniques to be used in metrology applications
• Standardization, improvement, and innovation of existing/new solutions for the gauges produced by the BU
• Time schedule, cost, and quality of the assigned jobs
• Follow up and coordinate the external partners involved (designer and/or supplier) to achieve the targets of quality, time, and cost
• Link with project managers and project leaders to gather the information to design the optimal solution and share it with the BU team
• Link with team members to design the optimal mechanical/architectural solution

• Electronics (preferred) or other technical engineering degrees
• Preferred minimum 3 years experience in HW&FW development
• Knowledge of electronic CAD software
• Experience with microcontrollers and/or FPGA development suites
• Experience with networks and Fieldbus protocols (Profibus, Profinet, Ether
  
  CAT, Modbus, Modbus-TCP, RS232, …)
• Preferred programming language (in order of importance): C/C++/Code Sys/C#/VHDL
• Good knowledge of spoken and written English
