Country Manager – Solar / BESS – Project Development

Circular Resourcing partners with a JV Development Platform to hire a proactive Project Development Manager / Country Manager to drive the business in Italy.

Established renewable energy developer specializing in development and storage projects. Operating across development, financing, construction, and operations, the company values entrepreneurial spirit, adaptability, and a hands‑on approach to navigating the evolving energy landscape.

As Head of Project Development, you will lead the deployment of Solar & BESS activities across the region and oversee project development through a network of co‑developers, ensuring projects reach Ready‑to‑Build status and progress through to construction.

• Lead and manage project development activities in Italy, coordinating with co‑developers and reporting progress to senior leadership.
• Drive projects to RTB status by securing EPC contracts, offtake agreements, and financing.
• Prepare and submit projects for Italian energy tenders.
• Identify and manage local service providers based on project geography.
• Oversee project timelines and development expenditure (Dev Ex).
• Provide technical support during pre‑construction and construction phases, including subcontractor selection, testing, and commissioning.
• Ensure high‑quality reporting and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

• A go‑getter who can build relationships and manage a growing pipeline of utility‑scale projects across Italy.
• Ideally minimum 5 years of experience in Solar / BESS project development.
• Proven track record of managing complex infrastructure projects, preferably with experience in Italy.
