A Commissioning Project Engineer (CxPE) supports the delivery of data center capacity through managing project milestone auditing, calibration, and commissioning execution for new construction and Capital Improvement Projects (CIPP). This position is part of a career development program that aims to develop the CxPE into a Commissioning Engineer (CxE) through a three‑phase mentoring program.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.

• Manage the creation of projects within internal Amazon systems.
• Manage the administrative tasks related to the commissioning process.
• Support the Request for Quote process, ensuring all relevant documentation is available for the commissioning vendors to provide a detailed quote.
• Manage the required vendor project deliverables ensuring on‑time delivery for the CxE's review.
• Manage project resourcing ensuring all vendors comply with the Leads Qualification Process (LQP).
• Create and manage the approval of the Change Management requests for the commissioning activities of the assigned project.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or 1+ years of relevant discipline work experience.
• 1+ years of engineering, installation, or startup/commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Qualified trades personnel (Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant discipline).

• Experience managing the creation of projects within internal Amazon systems.
• Experience supporting the Request for Quote process with commissioning vendors.
• Experience managing vendor project deliverables and ensuring on‑time delivery for review.
• Experience managing project resourcing and compliance with the Leads Qualification Process (LQP).
• Experience creating and managing approval of Change Management requests for commissioning activities.

The base pay for this position ranges from $83,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
