We are seeking a consultant to audit and optimize our cloud infrastructure using cloud-native best practices. The goal is to improve performance, enhance scalability, and reduce unnecessary costs on our AWS environment.
Business Problem:
Our cloud bills are increasing without a proportional increase in performance or efficiency. We are not fully leveraging managed services or automated scaling, leading to wasted resources and potential downtime.
Business Path After Completion:
We will have a more efficient and cost-effective cloud infrastructure. Our systems will be more resilient, scalable, and manageable. The reduction in cloud spend will allow us to reinvest in other areas of the business.
Freelancer Responsibilities:
- Conduct a full audit of our AWS services and usage.
- Propose and implement optimizations using serverless technologies (Lambda), managed databases (RDS), and auto-scaling groups.
- Set up comprehensive monitoring and alerting for resource utilization.
- Identify and correct misconfigurations that lead to security or performance issues.
- Document the new cloud architecture and optimization strategy.
Required Expertise:
- Extensive experience with AWS services and architecture.
- Knowledge of serverless computing (Lambda) and managed services (RDS, SQS).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Cloud Watch, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Strong understanding of cloud cost optimization techniques.
- A detailed audit report and a proposed action plan.
- Measurable results in cost reduction and performance improvement.
- Regular status meetings to discuss progress
An experienced and data-driven cloud consultant with a strong focus on efficiency and cost management. You should be able to analyze complex cloud usage data, identify optimization opportunities, and implement solutions that provide a measurable return on investment.
