Camunda is looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer to join our newly formed Business Solutions team. This team pioneers Camunda 8-based domain solutions that extend our core orchestration platform into industry-specific applications. You’ll design, build, and maintain full-stack solutions ready to deploy for customers, combining hands‑on engineering, solution building, and product innovation while shaping the future of enterprise process automation.

• Design and build full-stack, Camunda 8-based domain solutions for specific industry use cases.
• Develop maintainable, production-ready solution assets: processes, connectors, job workers, LLM/agent instructions & setup, documentation, and deployment guidance.
• Understand Agentic Orchestration patterns and domain-specific AI requirements (e.g., LLM fine-tuning) to build fit‑for-purpose process solutions that balance dynamic (agentic) and deterministic process automation.

• Build enterprise-grade frontend (JavaScript/React) and backend (Java/Spring Boot) components that extend enterprise platform solutions and automate real-life enterprise processes.
• Design and implement solutions that solve real-world enterprise challenges, integrating multiple systems, data sources, and user workflows.
• Apply best-practice engineering fundamentals (e.g., SDLC, versioning, enterprise-grade integration).

• Work closely with product management and product architecture to define solution scope and capabilities.
• Partner with core product teams to influence platform improvements that unlock new solution potential.

• Act as a builder and problem solver, translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Balance speed of delivery with engineering rigor, ensuring solutions are maintainable and reusable.

• Full Stack Engineering Proficiency
  :
  Strong hands‑on experience with both backend (Java, Spring Boot) and frontend (JavaScript/React) technologies, with a proven ability to design and deliver scalable, maintainable enterprise solutions.
• Domain‑Specific Process Solutions Track Record
  :
  Experience building or maintaining domain-specific process solutions for industries such as finance, logistics, or customer service.
• Camunda 8 or Similar Platform Experience
  :
  Deep understanding of workflow engines, integration platforms, or process automation systems.
• Solution-Building Mindset
  :
  Ability to translate business and domain requirements into end-to-end technical solutions, integrating multiple systems and ensuring production readiness.
• AI Acumen and Agentic Automation Knowledge
  :
  Understanding of agent-based automation architecture and ability to design fit‑for-purpose solutions utilizing commoditized AI services.
• Collaboration & Ownership
  :
  Thrive in a cross‑functional setup, partnering with product management, architecture, and engineering peers while owning outcomes from design through delivery.
• Entrepreneurial Drive
  :
  Operate with a builder’s mindset, balancing creativity, speed, and technical rigor.

• Familiarity with Camunda 8 ecosystem components (connectors, workers, SDKs) and deployment in Kubernetes or cloud environments.
• Prior consulting or professional services experience helping customers design and implement workflow or integration solutions.
• Contributions to open-source projects in the process automation, integration, or enterprise software space.
