The research is part of the collaboration agreement between Regione Lombardia and the Department of Architecture and Urban Studies (DAStU) of the Politecnico di Milano. Its objective is to develop an advanced technical-scientific framework for analysing, at a supra-local scale, the landscape and ecosystem impacts generated by major degradation phenomena across the Lombardy region. The project aims to provide knowledge-based and interpretative tools to identify critical issues, vulnerabilities, and pressure dynamics (particularly those related to hydraulic risk) that affect the environmental and landscape quality of regional contexts.
The research aims to define criteria, methodologies, and operational guidelines that can inform decisions on protection, redevelopment, and regeneration, promoting actions consistent with the objectives of sustainability, landscape restoration, and the enhancement of ecosystem systems.
