The research activity concerns the development and validation of a high‑framerate rendering engine for the realistic simulation of space images. The work lies at the intersection of computer graphics, space engineering, and autonomous GNC systems, addressing the image rendering needs for lunar landing, in‑orbit servicing, and asteroid exploration. The objective is to design a rendering framework capable of generating high‑fidelity synthetic images under realistic illumination and observation conditions.

The research integrates advanced computational methods with scientific data from space missions to improve the realism, accuracy, and reliability of simulation environments in support of space system design and validation.

Oral test aimed at ascertaining candidates’ aptitude and suitability to carry out the research activity covered by the Fellowship, as well as at assessing their knowledge of English and/or other languages relevant to the research activities to be performed (up to 40 points)
