The research activity is part of the RELAB laboratory for the testing and development of machines for indoor air conditioning. Specifically, it concerns the analysis of the machines' noise production, both for internal and external equipment, through both experimental measurements to be carried out with different techniques, and vibro-acoustic numerical modelling. The aim of the research is to i) identify noise sources ii) define and test modifications/modalities for emission reduction or abatement iii) support the design and development of innovative equipment by acoustically simulating these new configurations with the aim of noise minimization.

Italian or foreign applicants, who have a PhD or equivalent qualification, obtained in Italy or abroad are admitted to selection process. In addition, in the past 5 years, they must have authored, co-authored, or edited a number of publications, accepted texts, essays included in collections, and articles published in print or digital journals equal to or exceeding the minimum required number of 5, excluding internal notes or departmental reports.
