The selected candidate will be engaged in research and educational/training activities within the Scientific-Disciplinary Sector 06/MEDS-06 – General Surgery.
Research Activities- Scientific output should be consistent with the core areas of the sector, with particular focus on hepato-bilio-pancreatic surgery
- liver transplant surgery
- development, application, and management of different surgical techniques (open surgery, minimally invasive, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery)
- hepatic resective surgery
- pancreatic resective surgery
- training of staff on the various surgical options and techniques
- assessment and management of the aforementioned conditions within a multidisciplinary setting
- continuity and robustness in scientific production
- high quality of scientific output, evidenced by articles published in national and international scientific journals in the field or in related areas
- contributions to edited volumes and participation, including invited contributions, in national and international conferences
- commitment and capability in activities related to the University’s third mission (scientific dissemination, engagement with the community, technology transfer, etc.)
The successful candidate will be required to engage in the teaching, research, and clinical‑assistance activities associated with the professional role. In particular, the Faculty Member will be expected to carry out teaching activities in Specialization Schools, Master’s programs, PhD programs, and in degree courses that include the teaching of General Surgery. The Associate Professor will also be responsible for supervising undergraduate and specialization theses, coordinating seminars and other teaching activities at the local, national, and international levels, in line with the University of Brescia’s internationalization objectives.
