Hybrid: 2 days in office/week in Sunnyvale, CA

In this role, you will focus on the Azure Firewall Management Program over the next year. You will work in conjunction with Illumio's Core product and our newest product, Cloud Secure, to deliver on customer-facing products and initiatives.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will determine how we integrate firewall management security frameworks into our existing ecosystem using Go/Golang. You will work in cloud environments such as AWS and focus on the networking aspects of our tech stack.

To thrive in this role, you will need Go/Golang coding experience, cloud experience in Azure or AWS, networking experience especially security networking, and building and deploying APIs.

• Integrate firewall management security frameworks into our existing ecosystem using Go/Golang.
• Work with cloud environments like AWS, focusing on networking aspects of our tech stack.
• Deliver customer-facing products and initiatives for Azure Firewall Management Program.
• Collaborate with Core product and Cloud Secure teams.

As a Sales Engineer, you will develop and nurture relationships with customers across the region, presenting Illumio's solutions through live presentations, webinars, and trade shows. Your performance will be measured against revenue expectations, customer adoption, and proficiency in cybersecurity domains.

• Develop and nurture technical and executive relationships across the territory.
• Present solutions via live presentations and remote webinars.
• Guide customers to desired business outcomes.
• Deploy demos driven by use cases and customer stories.
• Support deal progression and POVs.
• Write blog posts, white papers, and other thought leading pieces.
• Assist partners in enablement pursuits.
• Advocate for customers on future feature development.

• 5+ years of industry experience, 2+ years in a pre‑sales capacity handling enterprise accounts.
• Knowledge of cloud migration strategies, CSP services, cloud native development, containers, orchestration, or IaC.
• Understanding of SDLC and tooling for cloud native applications.
• Development or scripting experience preferred; API knowledge a plus.
• Industry certifications preferred (CISSP, CCSP, CCIE, AWS Certified Security Specialty, Microsoft Certified Azure Security Engineer Associate, Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist, etc.).
• Knowledge of risk‑based security assessments and frameworks.
• Experience administering Windows and Linux.
• Outstanding presentation skills to technical and executive audiences.
• University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields preferred.
