Structural Engineer

• Apply structural engineering and detailing techniques.
• Work on bridge and transit projects, including steel plate girder, prestressed concrete, box culverts, highway interchanges, and elevated/underground stations.
• Select standard engineering procedures, develop structural details using specialized design and analysis software, and perform load calculations and assist with geometric layout and quantity development.
• Review, assign work, or check design calculations, estimates, and specifications produced by junior engineers and EITs.
• Interface with clients depending on role on the project.
• Perform other duties as needed.

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in structural design.
• Preference is given to local candidates.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position (Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng)).
• Previous structural engineer experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RISA, Staad, SAP, Tedds, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar.
• Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.

Compensation for this position varies by skills, experience, education and geographic location. (Stated benefits are for full‑time regular positions; temporary and part‑time roles eligible for limited benefits.)

For New York, NY: $98,263 - $140,375.
