SERVICE FINANCIAL ASSOCIATE - TAX FOCUSED Summary
The Service Financial Associate assists Senior advisors in reviewing a client’s financial goals, priorities, risk profile and lifestyle, helping create a balanced and realistic plan to meet these goals by performing the following duties. Must have CFP or be willing to obtain after hire. This is a professional, non-producing role.
Job Functions and Responsibilities- Acts as a fiduciary with the Advisor to increase Tru Plan's client base and influence.
- Meets jointly with Advisor and clients to determine current assets, investments and financial goals.
- Obtains qualitative and quantitative aspects of the client's financial and relevant non-financial situations.
- Gathers, analyzes, and completes all information, per broker dealer and Tru Plan’s guidelines.
- Utilizes asset management tools and designs a financial plan to facilitate the achievement of client’s goals.
- Utilizes Ultra Tax for tax preparation for our strategic partnership accounting practices.
- Monitors, revises and updates plan information as clients' needs and situations change.
- Assist the Advisor with trades, cash management, and other aspects of investment management for all of our clients.
- Initially participates in the Investment Committee Meetings.
- Other duties, as needed.

Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing.
Language AbilityAbility to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from a group of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Computer SkillsKnowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Morningstar, Microsoft Outlook, Redtail and/or pertinent financial software.
Physical DemandsEmployee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit and use their hands. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree required (preferred finance or accounting); four to six years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certifications and Licenses- CFP Designation is required; or must be willing to obtain in the future.
- Series 7/66 Licenses
- NJ Life Insurance/Health/Annuity is preferred; or must be willing to obtain in the future.
