The listed pay range or pay rate reflects compensation for a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) position. Actual compensation may differ depending on assigned hours and position status (e.g., part-time).

Position OverviewSUMMARY (Basic Purpose of the Job)
Performs administrative activities within established guidelines to support multiple department operations. Coordinates workflow to support and ensure smooth operation within multiple departments.
Minimum RequirementsEducation:
High school diploma or GED.
Experience:
One year of related experience. Transcriptionist experience preferred

Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Detail oriented. Ability to spot inconsistencies in data. Good understanding of English language. Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Essential Functions- Receives electronic diagnostic testing interpretations, including addendums from physicians and assures they are formatted and placed in the correct system within departmental time frames.
- Monitors patient flow by greeting and checking in patients, verifying accurate scripts and information needed for testing and facilitates corrections if needed.
- Schedules and confirms appointments as needed to maintain department flow. Reschedules patients as needed.
- Prepares and prints daily department schedules and medication reconciliation.
- If supporting cardiology department, makes twice-daily hospital rounds to check/transfer studies on EKG machines as needed, and monitors event monitors on floors.
- Completes data gathering for corporate compliance.
- Orders, receives, picks up and distributes supplies, manages dietary supplies for patients and coordinates housekeeping/linen needs.
- Verifies appropriate diagnosis code, places claims in EMR entering CPT, diagnosis and supervising physician.
- Ensures that all patient identification or demographic information is secure at all times.
- Monitors department(s) supply inventory and orders supplies as necessary.
- Performs other duties as needed.
