Nurse, Health Screener-- Pennington NJ

This is an independent contractor (1099) position with the possibility of converting to a W2 per diem employee after meeting certain criteria.

• Perform biometric screening at client sites including finger stick blood collection, BMI, Blood Pressure, and other health screening services based on the service package.
• Perform basic waived testing on blood samples and complete required quality control.
• Provide exceptional customer service at all health screenings.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and legible records.
• Participate in training, retraining, and continuing education programs as necessary.
• Comply with all safety policies, including the use of protective equipment to prevent exposure to infectious agents.
• Understand and comply with federal, state, and local laws, and adhere to quality assurance procedures and good manufacturing practices.
• Maintain all HIPAA and OSHA standards during events.
• Perform other related duties as necessary.

Preferred Work Experience: At least 1 year of healthcare experience in a professional setting is preferred.

• Lift objects weighing 1 to 40 pounds with assistance for heavier items.
• Use of phone and PC required.
• Fine dexterity, handling stress, concentrating, decision-making, adjusting to change, observing details, and long periods of sitting or standing.
• Travel required.

• Proficient with finger sticks and manual blood pressure.
• Ability to perform complex procedures and work with complex instrumentation.
• Excellent customer service skills, good communication, and basic computer skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Some college courses required.

Meet state licensure requirements, if applicable.
