Up to $165k + 5% (Base pay: $145,000–$165,000 per year)

Our client, a manufacturing and distribution company, is looking to hire a Director of Accounting to lead core accounting functions and support business growth. This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone with broad accounting and finance experience who enjoys learning a business, assessing processes, and making thoughtful improvements.

5 days onsite

• Oversee month‑end close and ensure accurate, GAAP‑compliant financial reporting
• Analyze transactional data including revenue, margins, and inventory valuation
• Provide variance analysis, management reporting, and ad hoc financial insights
• Lead accounting process improvements and support ERP implementation (Microsoft Dynamics)
• Partner with internal stakeholders on funding and revenue programs
• Support audits and regulatory requests
• Initially an individual contributor role, with future supervision of 2 staff accountants

• 7–15 years of progressive accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA and/or MBA preferred)
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, inventory, or revenue programs preferred
• Big 4 or large public accounting background a plus
