The company also manufactures and markets Mrs. Richardson's dessert sauces and Nance's mustards/condiments. The role is located at our Pennsauken, NJ location.

Shift Schedule

Our QA Team follows a 2‑2‑3 shift schedule. This role is scheduled 5:45 pm – 6:00 am.

What You Will Do
  • Perform all required product and batch inspection responsibilities, including maintaining work areas and equipment within GMP and GLP standards, placing batches or finished products on hold as required, performing required analytical and microbiological testing as defined by Food Safety and Quality systems, verifying product codes and chart recorders, performing microbiological activities including but not limited to ATP swabs, culture swabs, plating, BacT/Alert3D and 3M film plating, monitoring thermal process checks including pasteurizer temps and packaging sterilization processes.
  • Use all aspects of measurement tools, processes, and product verification. Design, set‑up, and implement inspection/measurement programs. Develop and write appropriate work instructions. Provide accurate documentation of reports and results. Train others in use of equipment, methods, and routines.
  • Use all aspects of testing equipment to set‑up, perform, analyze, and report on all phases of product testing as defined by Food Safety Quality systems. Write corresponding work instructions. Provide accurate documentation of testing performance, results, and summaries.
  • Coordinate with third‑party inspection & testing services, laboratories, and suppliers.
  • Generate COA and other documentation for outgoing shipments.
  • Participate on new product development teams, process improvement teams, and problem‑solving teams including design reviews, FMEA compilations, gage/test fixture development, and process control application. Complete appropriate quality projects and corrective action items.
  • Use statistical tools and methods, problem‑solving techniques, and recognized testing methods to define problems, quantify data, make recommendations, and drive to solutions in production and laboratory environments. Ensure accurate documentation of problems and solutions.
  • Develop and accurately document, organize, and report on Quality Systems including written documentation, file organization and database structure, use and maintenance (i.e. Receiving Inspection, Non‑conforming Material, Calibration, PPAP).
What You Need To Be Successful
  • Associate’s Degree in Biology, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field and/or three years quality production and lab experience, or a commensurate amount of education and experience, with mechanical and technical equipment components.
  • Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification and/or significant analytical test experience required.
  • Experience working in a GFSI certified facility.
  • HACCP certification or similar including PCQI, Better Process School.
  • Advanced working knowledge of quality measurement equipment.
  • Statistical problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to train others in quality measurement, testing and systems application.
  • Basic computer skills to include inputs of data and math functions.
  • Ability to use various hand tools as required for product testing.
  • Effectively communicate information in one‑on‑one and in small group situations.
  • Ability to follow and implement written and oral instructions.
  • Team player and constructive conflict management skills.
