Senior Tax Accountant

Senior Tax Accountant position within the Finance Department at Subaru of Indiana Automotive.

The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for accounting tasks associated with the maintenance and preparation of tax records and tax returns.

• Prepare federal, state, and local income and property tax returns and maintain records of tax filings.
• Calculate quarterly tax provision and deferred tax balances.
• Recommend financial actions that may lessen SIA’s tax liability to meet company goals while maintaining compliance with laws and regulations.
• Prepare periodic reporting (daily, weekly, monthly) for internal Finance and external SIA purposes.
• Coordinate tax matters with other departments.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports as needed.
• Initiate and perform special projects.
• Apply critical thinking to solve dynamic problems.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting plus 5+ years of relevant experience.
• CPA.
• Experience with MS Office applications.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting plus 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience at a public accounting firm.
• SAP experience.
