We are a dynamic mid‑sized public accounting firm with a team of over 70 professionals, currently seeking a Tax Senior/Supervisor who wants the opportunity to expand their skills, assume direct responsibility for client engagements, and be an integral team member at a growing CPA firm. Key Responsibilities- Prepare complex Federal, State, and Local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and exempt organizations
- Review mid‑level complexity tax filings — including individual, corporate, partnership, and trust returns — prepared by tax staff for accuracy and completeness
- Review and respond to tax authorities
- Provide tax planning and consultative services throughout the year, including projecting estimated taxes and providing recommendations and tax strategies
- Analyze trial balances and prepare year‑end adjusting entries
- Stay current on evolving tax laws and industry regulations
- 5+ years of experience in tax at a public accounting firm
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- CPA license, CPA candidate, or EA certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of current tax laws and ability to apply to clients in direct interaction
- Ability to manage multiple engagements, competing projects, and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and proven innovative problem‑solving skills
- Excellent analytical and technical skills with mid‑level proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Lacerte is a plus
- Diverse range of experience in client size, industry, project hours, and types of work
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with ability to maintain client relationships
- Proactive and energetic team personality
- Experience completing Fin Cen forms and required foreign compliance disclosures is valuable
