Our goal is to empower every customer to achieve long‑term financial stability.

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Accountant to join our rapidly growing fintech company. As a Series B company, we are at a pivotal stage, expanding our operations, product offerings, and market reach. This role is critical in building out robust financial infrastructure, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and providing accurate financial reporting to support our continued growth and strategic decision‑making. Reporting directly to the Controller, the Accountant will be responsible for the daily accounting operations and support the monthly accounting close process and key projects and initiatives.

What

You’ll Do Accounting Operations & Systems:
  • Perform day‑to‑day accounting operations, including processing journal entries and preparing balance sheet reconciliations for cash, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Assist the Accounting Manager in establishing best practices in cash, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and timely posting in a highly automated environment.
  • Optimize and automate accounting processes and systems to improve efficiency and scalability (e.g., daily cash management, estimating accruals, credit card expense management, prepaids and leases).
  • Assist with migration of an outsourced accounting function to in‑house accounting.
  • Assist with general ledger migration from Quick Books to Net Suite.
Financial Reporting & Close:
  • Assist in the monthly close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
  • Prepare and maintain supporting schedules for financial statements and audits.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Manager and Controller on internal control documentation and testing as the company matures toward public‑company readiness.
  • Support external audits by preparing schedules, pulling data, and responding to audit requests.
  • Enhance the existing close process by identifying opportunities to reduce the close timeline.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • CPA license (or in the testing process).
  • 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting firm (Big Four or mid‑tier) or at a public company.
  • Financial services or related industry experience.
  • Experience operating under a SOX controls environment.
  • Analytical, problem‑solving skills.
  • Proactive, detail‑oriented, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with CECL.
Benefits And Perks
  • 100% company‑paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents on day one of employment.
  • Monthly fitness reimbursement up to  100 or a full membership to Life Time Fitness.
  • 401(k) with a 2.5% match and immediate vesting.
  • Meal program for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
  • Life and accidental insurance.
  • Flexible PTO.

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job‑related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. Base salary is just one part of your total compensation and rewards package at Credit Genie. You may also be eligible to participate in the bonus and equity programs. You will also have access to comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, short‑ and long‑term disability insurance, life insurance, and flexible PTO along with many other benefits and perks.
