Typical starting salary range for this position: $40,300 to $53,700.
Essential Duties & Functions
- Process monthly account currents and collect related payments.
- Review, apply, and reconcile payments daily.
- Perform monthly agent reconciliations and maintain accurate reporting of agent balances.
- Maintain daily, monthly, and quarterly controls.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with agents, customers, and internal teams via phone and email.
- Follow up on outstanding items and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with other departments.
- Maintain digital filing system in Image Right for proper record retention.
- Prepare and provide reporting on agent balances and account status.
- Process disbursements and write‑offs.
- Support other projects and perform duties as assigned.
- Adhere to internal standards and external regulatory requirements while following documented processes.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of accounting or reconciliation experience.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word & Excel).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable handling a robust workload while maintaining accuracy.
- Adaptability to changing business needs and growth initiatives.
- Experience in insurance or regulated financial institutions.
- Desire to learn and grow within the accounting department.
- Initiative to identify and implement process improvements.
