Accounts Payable Clerk

A growing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join its accounting team. This role will primarily support accounts payable functions while also assisting with accounts receivable activities and a variety of administrative accounting responsibilities. The ideal candidate enjoys working with numbers, maintaining accuracy, and supporting multiple accounting processes in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

+ Process vendor invoices and ensure timely, accurate payment.

+ Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation.

+ Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies.

+ Assist with weekly check runs and electronic payments.

+ Support accounts receivable functions, including cash application, invoicing, and customer account follow-up.

+ Maintain accurate accounting records and filing systems.

+ Assist with account reconciliations and month-end close activities.

+ Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding billing and payments.

+ Enter and update information within the accounting system.

+ Provide general administrative support to the accounting and finance team.

+ Assist with special projects and other transactional accounting duties as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications

+ 1+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounting, bookkeeping, or a related role.

+ Working knowledge of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.

+ Experience supporting accounts receivable functions is a plus.

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

+ Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
