TheOpportunity
This is a critical growth role within a firm that is actively expanding its capabilities. The incoming Staff Accountant will join at a pivotal moment getting in on the ground floor of a firm-wide implementation of Avalon, an AI-based accounting platform integrating with Quick Books and Sage. This is not a siloed position. You will work directly alongside firm leadership, contribute across tax and accounting functions, and have meaningful client interaction from day one.
WhatYou'll Do
- Support the preparation and processing of individual and business tax returns using Drake Tax software
- Perform accounting and bookkeeping functions for clients during the off-season
- Provide clients with feedback and updates this role has a client-facing component
- Participate actively in the installation and rollout of Avalon AI-based accounting software
- Collaborate with firm leadership and staff across all functions this is a team environment where everyone pitches in
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- 0 4 years of experience new graduates are welcome to apply
- Drake Tax, Quick Books, or Sage experience a plus; willingness to learn is what matters most
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Comfortable interacting with clients professionally and confidently
- Team player who thrives in a small, collaborative environment
- Reliable, coachable, and looking to grow with a firm long-term
- Salary: $60,000 $ 65,000 (flexible for the right candidate)
- Health Insurance: company contributes 50% of premium
